I am so excited! Our local dealer just got a new shipment in and just so happened I was there when they were putting the bikes on display. There was a bike just PERFECT for me. The VStar 250. Standing just 5'2" I'm a little lady and this bike is almost ideal! I rode the one they had there and they are going to order a few more, various colors so I can make the final decision. I've wanted a bike for years but I couldn't find the right size and ended up on an off/on road dirt bike but my birthday is September 8th and I should be riding home on my brand new bike that day! I can't wait!

Yes, the 250s are very nice bikes. I just bought one in July. I am not sure if you are just starting out on bikes, but the 250s are excellent starter bikes.....thats why I got one. At 6'1", I am now finding it a bit too small for me and it also lacks some power at 70-80 km/hr or higher. so I am looking to upgrade next summer to a 950.

I am glad you have a choice of various colours. When I bought mine, it only came in Black/Burgundy.

Testing out a bike compared to a car is just as much a pain for me as it was trying to find shoes (I am a bad shopper). I am sure that by the time we were done we had easily hit up a dozen or more shops in our state just trying to find something that fit right.

I am a really picky shopper as well and I hate shopping for most things. Clothes are the absolute worst thing for me. Big ticket buys like this one is harder even when I know what I want because I get worried I will change my mind. lol

I feel a bit the same but for different reasons. I am an old veteran rider that happens to appreciate smaller displacement, lighter, more fuel efficient fun to ride bikes. I have little desire to ride a 700 lb beast with a car engine in it. I have nothing to prove & don't give a big rip what people think. Although on this litle beauty I think I'll look pretty good.

I'll take a bit of abuse from the boys I'm sure, but I'll smile as I buy 2 gallons of fuel every few days to do the 70 mile loop to work & back.
