Default Anyone Get a Tach?

I won't have mine for a few weeks but I missed a tach when I test rode it. I don't think it had one. I know its a torquey little engine and doesn't help to rev it out, but I want to know what the engine is doing.

I also read on another site that it has ample torque to raise the gear ratio with an extra tooth on the drive sprocket and a few less in back. The guy swore changing 16/45 stock to 17/38 worked well to make 4th gear like 5th & 5th was like an extra gear. Lowered the rpm going at any given speed significantly. He wanted to ride on the freeway without the engine screaming at 7500 rpm. His gear ratio change brought 7500 rpm to 5900 rpm at the same speed. He said he weighed 190lb. A 240lb guy said it didn't work for him which may give a clew to how much ratio change it can tolerate.
