Default Where did you learn to ride?

When I started looking into getting a motorcycle to ride to work and for fun, I didn't have any friends around to show me what to do. I ended up taking a riding course and it was great to learn in a controlled environment. What did you do?

My dad and brother rode motorcycles when I was growing up. I thought why can't I ride too? I actually learned from both of them. My brother taught me on some old small motorcycle. It was a hoot, I was 16. Of course my dad taught me by riding with me.

I've been riding since I was pretty young. I've had various sizes throughout the years. I think I really started learning to ride alone when I was 7 or maybe 8. I had a small trail bike and it was a blast!

I got my brother teaching my to ride. We go to a soccer field near by our home. He rode first, showed me what to do and let me try.

My dad taught me how to ride a motorcycle when I was a teenager. I didn't really have much to do with them then, but have gotten into them again in the past couple of years.

My cousin taught me how to ride a motorcyle. I started with a bike to learn how to balance and then he taught me how to ride a motorcyle. I use a small one to go around and for larger bikes and long trips, I just ride with one of my cousins.

I've been ridding some sort of 2 wheeled machine since i was 10 years old. Once I joined the military I bought a streetbike and have loved it ever since.

I was in my late teens the first time (I think my cousin taught me?), but I grew up riding dirt bikes so the switch just felt natural to me. I am a mami, and I am not out with my kid backpacked to me on the bike, but I still love the wind in my hair.
