It still reminds me that so many (car) drivers do not think that (bike) drivers can see everything at once. And the shock of disrespect that some (car) drivers has really surprises me, esp. when you do see a wreck like that (thankfully your family was okay).

I know my friend had saw one, this time he was in his car when it happened (minor but he still wanted to help), so he parked his car on the side of the rode, helped the bike folk out, and ever car that went by just gawked at them.

Some drivers (regardless of vehicle/bike) have no cares in the world except getting to wherever it is they are going and most times it is at the expense of others. I watched a woman drive by a kid riding a bicycle today and it was raining so she just gushed water all over the poor little guy. It reminded me to watch for everyone around.

Yeah, I think some drivers are so selfish and insensitive to others around them. Not bragging, but because I'm a motorcyclist, I think I'm a better driver because I'm so aware of my surroundings and the spacing I provide when I ride my bike carries over to when I drive my car.

Do yourself a favor & mount an airhorn that does 140 decibals connected to your horn button. It is a Godsend when some idiot even looks like he's going to pull out. A toot from that will generally have them panic stop where ever they're at pulling out.

I don't know if it's because they suddenly see me or they figure a Mack truck is about to wipe them out but they typically stop fast as I ride on by. I've mounted a Bad Boy airhorn on the last 3 bikes I've had & they have saved me more than once. They're about 40 bucks at Harbour Freight. Get one.
