Default Ideal for a woman?

I'm curious to know how many people have a Road Star Warrior? Do you think it's a good bike for women? It seems to be a bit bigger and heavier than some of the standard bikes.
Anyone know the weight of the bike?

So far from what I've read and heard about the bike it sounds great. Fast, classy, something new.

The bike weighs about 660 pounds. What is your main concern about the weight? As for whether or not it's good for a woman, you should take it for a test ride to determine that yourself.

That is a bit much for me. I'll look into the other bikes. The test drive was on my list of things to do, as well as the other test drives too. I'm sure when I saw the Road star I would have changed my mind (being so big).

I would say a well experienced woman might could handle such a bike but it is certainly not for me. I'm in the process of buying a Vstar 250 which is perfect for me and most any woman I would say.

Ridermama, what are your main concerns about a bike this size? Are you concerned about lifting it in case it's dropped? If that's the case, there are techniques that make it easy to lift. One of the main benefits of a heavy bike is a low center of gravity. If you've ever experienced a crosswind on a light bike you'll know what I'm talking about.

If you can not lift it, its not for you. Practice does help but if you are not comfy with the bike, its more than likely best to try another one out. My husbands main concern when we went shopping was that I could lift whatever I bought. And I had no issues showing him that I could. 600+ is good for most ladies, but just like men, we are not all built the same.

If you cannot lift the bike off of you if it were to fall on you, heaven forbid that ever happen, but if it were to happen then there you would be. No technique is going to help if the bike is on top of you and you pinned beneath it.

God forsaken if the bike is ever on directly on top of you. I wouldn't neccesarily be too concerned about the weight. If you're an experienced bike rider, you should have no problem.

I have been riding for almost 20 years. I've raced, rode cross country and rode a huge amount of bikes, tiny, huge and everything in between. Trust me, if a bike falls on you, the weight is going to matter, I don't care how experienced you are.

I don't know why I didn't take that into question, but yes that is really important. Man or Woman, there is not much you can do when a bike falls on you (depending on how much on you it is). I was more so talking about with experience that you shouldn't be in the situation that it will fall on you (although accidents happen).
